Team LDC Manchester with SEALIFE if you can, it’s worth doing both in a day if you have 2-3 hours spare as you get around them pretty quickly. They are both next to each other and it’s a great double day out.
Arrive for an early slot if you can and avoid the crowds.
The mini land is well worth exploring whilst you're there.
Ever wondered what 1.5 million LEGO® bricks looks like? Well, that’s the amount it took to build MINILAND, an interactive city that turns from day to night before your eyes.
Other hotspots here include the Kingdom Quest laser ride (rescuing a captured princess is the quest at hand) and The Merlin’s Apprentice Ride which whizzes kids round a spellbinding world. Launch yourself into orbit at the Space Mission Build Zone and face the elements (wind, rain and snow – all under one rood) in the 4D cinema experience.
Don’t leave without meeting the Master Model Builders, they’re the go-to for LEGO® building tips – or you could set them a challenge. Think of something difficult.
Adults must be accompanying a child (up to 17 years).
The centre is usually open from 10:30 - 14:00 on term-time weekdays (entry available between 10:30 and 11:00), and from 9:30 - 17:00 on weekends and local school holidays but please double-check the official website or give their friendly staff a call to make sure.
An adult is anyone aged 18 or over at LEGOLAND® Discovery Centre Manchester. Children are 17 years and under, and kids aged three and under don’t need to pay an admission fee.
There’s no heights restriction for the Great LEGO® Race but kids have to be at least 4 years old. There are plenty of baby changing facilities and toilets (including disabled toilets) onsite.
The centre is designed to be accessible, and guests can rent wheelchairs from the Trafford Centre nearby. Guest have to be able to get into ride vehicles with or without assistance from carers.
Where abouts is it? LEGOLAND® Discovery Centre Manchester is located in Trafford Palazzo, just next door to the Trafford Centre. If you’re arriving by car, it’s off the M60 via Junction 9 or 10. The centre is only 5 miles from Manchester city centre and there’s lots of free parking at Trafford Centre Car Park West.
If you’re arriving by train at Manchester Piccadilly, jump on the X50 or 250 bus from Piccadilly Gardens, while rail travellers coming in to Manchester Victoria can catch the 100 bus at the station entrance.
