"Beware of the ladders!"

I'm a little unsteady on my feet so I found the ladders a little challenging, so prepared!

"Dress for the occasion! "

Don't wear a dress as you have to climb up and down ladders with a big group of strangers!

What to expect at HMS Belfast

Step aboard the ship that saw the Battle of North Cape, the Normandy Landings and the Battle of the Baltic

After a slice of history in the capital? This famous warship is docked on the River Thames, close to all the capital’s best bits.

HMS Belfast’s a pretty impressive sight. But it’s when you get onboard that things get really cool. You’ll hear stories about the ship’s battles, from D- Day to the Arctic and the Korean War, as well as the sailors and animals that lived and worked there.

Sound like your cup of tea? Buy HMS Belfast tickets now!

If it’s those big old grey guns poking into the sky that reeled you in, you’ll love the arms on board. 16 huge guns that could blow things up as far as 12 miles away. Gulp.

You also get to steer the ship and tour all its nooks and crannies. There’s a chapel, radio station and hospital, as well as the bunkbeds, mess and jail cells where tipsy sailors were sent to sober up. With 950 people living on board, HMS Belfast was like a mini floating city, so humongous you could lie two Big Bens across its deck. Six double-decker buses. Or 184 bottles of HP sauce. Yup - we looked those last two up.
